Well just some thoughts from Idaho here I know I don't speak for anyone but me. I was just surfing last night and found all kinds of interesting stuff from a prosecuting attorney who keep his son on the county payroll to the tune of 75,000$ until he was indited for child molesting( he was on payed leave for 13 months first) to a police officer who was pulled over given a breath test and failed got a DUI but for some reason the prosecuting attorney there would not file ( not enough pro bile cause) to county OFFICIALS who over payed there selves but now wont give the money back,and this is all just local here.
But then I kept on surfing and found where I could read on the day to day happenings of someone in Antarctica, I found where I can read about hitchhiking through the Alps, or the people who just help others because they need it nothing more .
It's funny seams most time when things get relay screwed up is when the government sticks it's nose in when it would be best just to leave good enough alone. Like the small town I live in even, someone went to the city and complained that people were speeding by there house (boo hooo) instead of just calling and having a officer watch for awhile no they wanted a stop sign so what the heck the city council said why not.( they didn't bother to even look on the map or go where it would be and its not like you can't walk clear across town here in 10 minutes) So off go the city workers,spend 2 days putting in a sign sorry 2 signs 1 day for each. Then all of a sudden someone noticed it and the next meeting must have been 50+ppl there no one on the council thought maybe it isn't a good idea to put 2 stop signs in the middle of a main road,or thought hay there is no reason for signs here ( not an intersection)the city workers didn't go and say hay whats up this is dumb. So now we payed for another 2 days to go take em down. I don't know seams people just don't want to think anymore or if they do they get beat down for it you know.
Why is it when we say something like HAY THIS IS DUMB all we get is well you don't know the hole picture or something like that. OK I don't know the hole pic. so tell me,well then you get its to complected thats my personal favorite( it's to complected = I don't have a clew but can't admit it )
I know this is just random ranting but then thats what this is for isn't it.
If you made it this far into this rant thank you. The nice thing here is we have to remember there is a LOT of good and good things going on out there all around us it is just that good news doesn't seem to sell as well as bad news so I guess its up to us here to find or have a Little good news once in awhile and then share it with everyone else you know.

Just a few more examples of how our government relay works for us. Something more to show even more its not a government of the people its a government to spite the people. This is just 2 appealing accounts of how our government works and these are local and easy to find with out even looking.

Elko deputy won't be prosecuted for DUI

ELKO, Nev. - A charge of driving under the influence against Elko County sheriff's deputy Charlotte Moore has been dismissed, about a month after her vehicle was stopped by her husband.Assistant City Attorney Thomas Coyle Jr. decided not to proceed with the charges against Moore, 36, of Spring Creek because he couldn't determine whether Moore's husband, sheriff's deputy Mike Moore, had probable cause to stop her vehicle.
"There were three or four different versions of the grounds for those stops," Coyle said. "It was not established there was reasonable suspicion of criminal activity."
Without probable cause to make the stop, all other evidence in the case would be suppressed, Coyle said.
According to a witness statement from Mike Moore, he stopped his wife's Pontiac Grand Am and warned her not to drive around if she had been drinking. He said she told him she "had not been drinking for some time," according to the report. He let her leave, thinking she would go home, he said in the report.He then followed her to see where she was going, he said in his statement. He said she went to The G bar, and "let a male person out of the back seat." He said he tried to stop her vehicle again at Sixth and Silver streets and she drove off. He contacted dispatch and told them a vehicle was failing to stop, he said. A third traffic stop was made at Sixth and Douglas streets, where Elko city police responded.
Police Chief Mike Smith said Elko police proceeded with the arrest based on the probable cause given by Mike Moore.Moore made statements to police that he stopped his wife and she was drunk. Officer Larry Kidd said after his arrival he saw the Moores arguing and asked Mike Moore to leave.
Mike Moore later returned to the scene and spoke with Kidd. He told Kidd when he originally saw the vehicle, he did not know who was driving and thought it may have been stolen.Charlotte Moore told police she had been drinking, according to police reports. She also smelled of alcohol and failed some portions of a field sobriety test, according to reports. She blew a .114 in a portable breathalyzer test. She later recorded .102 and .096 in breath sample tests, reports said. The legal blood alcohol limit is .08.
Mike Moore later alleged he stopped the vehicle because it made an improper left turn, Coyle said. His witness statement does not list a probable cause for stopping his wife.
The charges were dismissed on Sept. 11.
Coyle said it is a rare for cases to be dismissed this way.
"Sometimes cases aren't pursued due to proof problems concerning the probable cause issue," Coyle said.Charlotte Moore's attorney, Sherb Macfarlan, said "I would not say it is uncommon."

Commissioners mum on why indicted prosecutor's son still on payroll
CALDWELL, Idaho -
The son of Canyon County's prosecuting attorney is still being paid by taxpayers _ just days after he was indicted on nine charges related to child pornography.
Marcus Young, a Canyon County computer technician, has received more than $75,000 in pay and benefits from the county while on 13 months paid leave during the investigation.
Canyon County spokeswoman Angie Sillonis says Canyon County commissioners are being told not to comment by their lawyer.
But Caldwell resident Teri Ottens says voters deserve an explanation.
Ottens says, "The public is paying for an indicted person to stay on the payroll at a very high salary" so commissioners need to explain themselves.
There is no time limit for paid administrative leave here, but a firing clause allows for employees to be dismissed at any time _ "for any or no reason."

Its still funny all the who ha on all the Craig stuff going on but I'm sure time will take good care of that
The 11 thing I have been impressed with is the Grenspan stuff going on I mean just look how the media just miss quota's him just for headlines. I mean he had a lot of relay good things to say if they would just let him say them
I relay don't think there is anyone out there WHO doesn't know the reason we are in this war is oil well no kidding. But then just who doesn't think that is where the teariest are getting there money
Bombs are not cheep so yes we are there to protect vital oil fields but that doesn't mean we are not doing any good Alas.

The big problem I see is no one has any idea of what to do now. Yes we won well kind of won the war to get Saddam out but there is no answers now.
No one has a clew what to do. It's kind of like having a bull by the tail you cant let go but the longer you hang on the more you get beat around. We need to know that we are not going to change peoples culture but have to figure out how to get along

I watched the history channel the other night and got to see the 1 on Idaho. It was funny the only famous native person they could get was Picabo Street but at least she is a native from here . The other funny thing was I think it was about the shortest of all the segments which is OK but funny.
I'm glad we are know for our taters but the research for the show was terribly lacking like for instance the first deaths at a nuclear plant was in Idaho in the 50 but also the first comically generated nuclear electricity was used in ARCO or the fact the they trained the Apollo astronauts at the craters of the moon or maybe that Crater lake in north Idaho is used by the Navy for small scale sub testing . The funny thing is our state Capitol was created from a late night ride to get the charter away from lewstion
there is so much more to know about this state but then I was born and raised here so I like to know a Little about where I live

Well I don't think any body in the country hasn't heard of our darling politician
in trouble. Me I don't know what to think I defiantly don't know bout no bathroom taping and signals but then I'm just a hick from the sticks. But I do know a few things that was wrong
1st if your Innocent you don't plead guilty especially if your a politician. I think the best thing he could have done is shout out I'm Innocent and made big fuss over it not try and cover it up and hope it quietly goes away.I mean that's if your Innocent but then with everything that went on I don't think hes Innocent now. The sad thing is its going to cost Idaho a lot of money cuss hay hes was a powerful senator and had clout so Idaho got more Federal money. YOU see its not where the money is relay needed its where the power and poultices wants it to be. I mean what the heck it isn't there money after all. On the up side i think the more bad press Idaho gets the better coarse those in the tourist spots wont agree but then that's OK.
I just wish there was a way to get the government to work for the PEOPLE not the special interest groups the rich and famous people or just to get there face in print. I think we do have one of the best forms of government but that doesn't mean it doesn't need tweaking sometimes some how some way the government needs to remember they work for us everyone one of us it doesn't matter if your on welfare or a billionaire you only have 1 vote no better no worse.

Owe yes I'm still interested in the Castle Rock fire and the money that's being dumped there its over 2 million a day now and I'm sure this will climb and there is going to be hundreds of million's of tax payer money spent of making sure that it stays pleasing to the eye there .
