just fun stuff

The first television picture was broadcast in 1926 from Arlington, Virginia to Washington, D.C. The technological achievement was of a picture of a weather map.

In 1950, the sitcom laugh track was introduced in the U.S. on "The Hank McCune Show"; that TV program was canceled during midseason

As a college sophomore, Oprah Winfrey was the first African-American news co-anchor on a local U.S. TV station.

In 1990, Upjohn ran the first TV commercial in the U.S. during which an actor said he had diarrhea.

way to easy

He started his career as a magician in the Midwest and went on to host several shows in television’s early years. After 30 years hosting a late night TV show, he retired in 1992

Kind of easy one

Born in 1880, in Alabama, she graduated from Radcliffe College. During her life she gave lectures about the less fortunate, was often a guest at the White House, and even performed in vaudeville. She wrote about herself in The Short Story of My Life, and had both a movie and a play based on the events of her life. For someone who was blind and deaf since she was 19 months old, she accomplished much.

Easy one

Having only 3 months of formal education didn’t hamper his inventive mind. Working in a telegraph office as a teenager, he came up with several devices for the telegraph. His first major invention was the stock ticker, created when he was 21 The New Jersey lab he used was the site of many other inventions And 1,000 patents at the time of his death.

Last one lol

He made three unsuccessful runs for the presidency, but saw Congress enacted many of his causes, including income taxes, women’s right to vote, and Prohibition. He held many jobs including positions as a newspaper editor, a representative for Nebraska, and one as President Wilson’s secretary of state. He was known for his speaking skills, which were put to use in the Scope trial where he spoke against teaching evolution.
